Biography of Rev. Anthony Bebe Guo

Rev. Anthony Bebe Guo was born in Sanerigu, a suburb of Tamale to Mr. Joseph Leru Guo and Madam Mary Esang Guo on the 18th of January, 1989. The last of five siblings made up of three girls and two boys.

Being the last of the siblings, his duty at home was to run errands. He had his basic education within the Sanarigu municipality at the Bagabaga Demonstration nursery and primary from 1994 to 2000. He then proceeded to Bishop’s Junior High School from 2001 to 2003. After successfully passing his BECE, he gained admission into St Charles Minor Seminary/SHS and completed in 2006.

From 2008 to 2011, he studied at the E.P. College of Education, Bimbilla attaining a diploma in basic education. He was first appointed to teach at the Bishop’s Junior High School, Tamale. He taught for two years before applying to the Seminary to start the discernment of his vocation towards the Catholic Priesthood.

He started from the St Michael’s Seminary in Kaleo where he made his spiritual year experience. After a year, he was admitted to St Augustine Millennium Major Seminary in Tamale for his philosophical studies. After completion in 2017, he had his theological studies at the Pontifical University Holy Cross while undergoing his formation at International Ecclesiastical College, Sedes Sapientiae (Seed of Wisdom), both in Rome, Italy.

After completion, he returned home in 2020 and was ordained a deacon on November 21, 2020 and assigned to Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Salaga. Today he will be ordained a priest by Most Rev. Philip Naameh, Archbishop of Tamale Archdiocese.
