Rev. Joseph Naatuur Faabesor hails from Nandom-Naapaal in the Upper West Region of Ghana. He is the 3rd born of 5 children born to Mr. Albanus Naatuur and Mrs. Rita Donnir.
He started his basic education at the Kogle R/C in the Nandom Municipality and was later transferred to the St. Monica’s School Complex in Nyankpala, Tamale where he completed.
Rev. Joseph proceeded to St Charles Minor Seminary/SHS for his Secondary education and completed in 2011.
He gained admission into St Victor’s Major Seminary in 2012. From 2012 to 2013, he had his Spiritual Year Formation in Kaleo at the St Michael’s Seminary. After this, he proceeded to the St Augustine Millennium Major Seminary, Tamale for his philosophical studies, from 2013 to 2016.
Haven been recommended by the formators of St Augustine, Rev. Joseph continued his studies at the St Victor’s Major Seminary, Mother Campus, for his theological studies from 2016 to 2019. He was assigned to the Christ the King Parish, Jamboai for his pastoral year experience. There he did a language and culture study at Loloto, an outstation of the Parish.
After this experience, he was recommended back to the Seminary to complete his studies. On the 21st of November, 2020, he was ordained a deacon by Most Rev. Philip Naameh in a ceremony within the Seminary campus. He finally completed his studies in May, 2021.
Through the grace and mercy of God, Rev. Joseph Naatuur Faabesor will be ordained a Catholic Priest for the Archdiocese of Tamale today, the 14th day of August, 2021. To God be the Glory.
