A BRIEF HISTORY OF TAUCSOD LIMITED, TAMALE

The Tamale Archdiocesan Union of Co-operative Societies for Development (TAUCSOD) Ltd., is a Catholic Church Co-operative Financial Institution formed in 2016 registered and regulated under the Department of Co-operatives on 14th June, 2018, with registration No. NR/SD/FC/2025. TAUCSOD Ltd. attained the status of a Union after the successful registration of five (5) Primary Societies. 

TAUCSOD Ltd. is a brain child of Most Rev. Archbishop Philip Naameh, the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Tamale. 

TAUCSOD Ltd operates based on credit union ideologies and principles. TAUCSOD Ltd is a member of the National Association of Catholic Cooperative Societies for Development Ltd (NACCSOD). The organization operates across the Northern Region and works with all religious denominations once the person abides to the bye-laws and principles.

 TAUCSOD Ltd accepts deposits from customers and allows withdrawals for customers as and when necessary. The main line of investment for excess deposits is to give loans at very affordable interest rates to members for self-sustainability and empowerment.

• Catholic Secretariat Coop Society for Development Limited, Tamale, located within the premises of Catholic Secretariat of Tamale
• St. Kizito Cooperative Society for Development Limited, Kpandai located within the premises of the Catholic Church.
• Sacred Heart Coop Society for Development Limited, Tamale, located at Fuo, within the premises of Sacred heart Parish
• Saints Peter & Paul Coop Society for Development Limited, Tamale located within the premises of TAMASCO, near the Catholic Church.
• St. Peter’s Coop Society for Development Limited, Mile 9, Tamale located within the Premises of the Bawa Barracks near the Catholic Church.
